I'm philosophically opposed to the needle. I think people who have done something deserving of the death penalty should be killed in a gruesome manner such as hanging, electrocution, or gas. In some cases, I'd even support death by dismemberment. Nobody should get the nice comfy needle unless they are disease-free and agree to donate all of their organs and tissue.

Yes, i know they held off the trial for many years hoping everyone's memory of the brutal murder would dissipate so that he wouldn't get the death penalty. I guess he found out 2 things in all this. 1. Texans have a long memory. 2. Texas believes in the death penalty.

One of the things I loved about living in Texas was the fact that they put to death more criminals than all the other states combined. And every time someone was about to get offed, the news reports always referred to what the criminal had done to earn the death sentence, so there was never any forgetting.
