Are you obsessing over Donald Trump? Did you obsess over Barack Obama? Don't you wish you could just "Stop it!" That's what my wife tells me when I struggle with survivor's guilt for not having my ass shot off in Vietnam. The problem is that obsessions are not rational. You can't just "Stop it!" Or, can you?

I'm not sure I know what constitutes a "disorder" nowadays. ADHD wasn't a thing until the 80's. Now it's so common that it's unusual NOT to have it. Gender Identity Disorder used to be a thing people were treated for...now they flaunt it as they are "persecuted" and it's no longer a disorder...
Have we become so "disorder" conscious that we can't simply tell people to STFU, we don't care? Is this the influence of the drug industry lobbyists who profit from an unhappy populace? Why do you need a disorder at all? Why can't you just be a crackpot conspiracy theorist, or player hater?
I've been diagnosed with quite a few disorders myself after my service. The VA tried to medicate me for each one. After about two years of being miserable, I weaned myself off 80% of my meds, and decided I was going to be happy again. Disorder? Whatever....
