And people wonder why the socialist left is made fun of... they can't explain how to pay for anything, they get numbers wrong by a factor of 10, and they can not prove that the model works anywhere... now Maduro even admits that it doesn't work. Socialism only works with massive infusions of money, but as Maggie Thatcher said :The problem with socialism is you eventually run out of other people's money."

A pure socialist model does not work. I hope Venezuela recovers from this mess. It sad to see so many people suffering.

There are many examples of hybrid socialist models that work well, but require some oversite and check and balances. For example, The Armed Forces is one of them. There are many services, such as health care, educational programs, and services around posts that are subsidized by the government for the benefits of the Service Members and Families. Many of this benefits we often take them for granted.
