for me its a tossup between Iraq in 2003 as a team leader in. national Guard MP Unit, or Panama in 1989 as an M60 Gunner in the 7th ID Div MPs

Back when Sadam's forces invaded Iraq and Daddy Bush was setting up for the liberation of Kuwait I was an Air Traffic Supervisor at Barksdale AFB. When I went in to relieve the crew ahead of me I was amazed to see a majority of our B-52 armed with ALCMs on both wings (I knew that meant the bellys were full also). I knew right then and there the "Shit is about to get real, Real Fast." The crew we were relieving asked me about some of the oddities for the flight plans they were seeing across the boards. I told them just read them as they posted, no open air communications to be any different than normal, they didn't make the connection to OpSec at the time I guess. I sure felt a lot of pride as those Buffs flew off. This was a history making demonstration of Global Power that, in my mind, had never before been displayed. My crew and I played a pretty insignificant role, but as I said I was sure proud of those aircrews and aircraft disappearing in the distance.
