It is pretty simple to get a pet registered as a service animal so you can take it with you everywhere like a security blanket. I know people that have no need for a service animal but register them get a little vest for them and take them everywhere. It is a shame that too many cannot go anywhere without what amounts to a comfort animal.
I fully support anyone that is disabled that needs a service animal to help them navigate, move about and live a better life etc. The rest are like Linus from Peanuts taking a small mammal around with them, everywhere they go, like a security blanket. I see people's dogs relieve themselves in airports all the time and the owners just walk away leaving someone else to clean it up. It is another first world problem we have created.

Good. Its have gotten out of hand with fake service animals and emotional support animals. My older sister is disabled and in a wheelchair. She has an actual trained service dog. It takes 1.5-2 years to train them. She had to attend training with the dog for 3-4 weeks before the dog could be assigned to her. It is considered a piece of medical equipment. It is extremely well behaved. While working it does NOT bark, relieve itself unless given permission, pull on the leash or, pay attention to anyone other than my sister. The frauds calling untrained pets service dogs just ruin it for legitimate service dogs.
