Will this help to solve crimes ?
Will this help drive crime rates down ?
Or
Is this the next race to out do London in surveillance ?
Then again if this technology could be refined and delivered to the forward troops that are interacting in combative cities.
Well it would be insightful for someone in infantry to receive information about suspected terrorists in front of them from a crowd in real or near real time.

It all starts with small steps and good intentions. Any technology can be abused by anyone. Give an inch, they want a foot, give a foot they want a yard, etc., etc..,

The privacy groups in London and raising a ruckus of this right now. Will be interesting to see what ACLU and others do.
