No. But those who are willing to destroy the United States just to make the Trump Administration fail are enemies of the nation. Tearing down President Trump is the desperate measure of those who have no vision of a way of winning back political offices. The 2016 elections wounded them. Not the nation. Them. They not only lost the White House, but also Congress, state houses, and governor's mansions. Now they're losing the Supreme Court. If they don't win something, anything this year, the wound will be mortal. I hope it is. Maybe then, real Democrats will emerge to reclaim their party.

Susan Foster - Do you consider a general a political appointee. Technically, all commissioned officers are granted their commissions under authority of a political organization, but generals don't earn their stars until they have been vetted in the political arena. They must demonstrate that they are capable of mingling socially with those who control Defense Department budgets. They must be able to testify before Congress. They must also be able to represent the nation in quasi-diplomatic missions. They are, for all intents and purposes, political appointees. The same with FBI agents and other bureaucrats in the upper echelons of their bureaus and agencies. And, inasmuch as these high ranking individuals owe their positions to the Democrats who elevated them, they are working to see the return of Democrats to power, especially when the Trump Administration is working to pull their teeth, as in attacking public service sector unions. No, it's not some whacka-doodle conspiracy theory. The Deep State exists and it is up to no good. And the news and entertainment media are the shills of the Left wing of the Democratic party. They too are working to discredit or bring down the Trump Administration. With each success, with each Supreme Court Justice appointed, they become more desperate, their presence more clearly seen.

CPT Jack Durish - I've been there. No, it doesn't exist. The bureaucracy is way too unorganized to keep anything a secret, much less coordinate. The media is just doing their jobs--and there are a lot of nut jobs on the right and on the left. Regardless of whether you like them, a free press is the cornerstone of a democracy, and the more middle road MSM report off his own statements. It's social media that's out of control. The left wing of the Dem party? You are correct. Just as the R party did for 6 years with Obama--even when what he tried to do was for the good of the country. No, general officers are not considered political appointees in the world of government. They are required to testify before Congress because of their commission, not because they are considered political appointees. So the Chief of Staff of the Army testifies on military matters, but not on Army policy that his Secretary has set. Nor are upper echelons of any agency who aren't in a political appointed position, and a government civilian, even high level, is usually not recognized by Congress as being able to testify for purposes of stating or defending agency policy--only if there are no political appointees above them. They don't need any help discrediting the Administration--they do that quite well on their own. What successes? The economy was already on a trend and would have gotten where it is no matter who won, he's shown unbelievable naivety with Russia and NK, he tweets lies and hatefulness--making fun of others--and I'm a firm believer you cannot put that out into the world and get any good from it, he puts self and his family above country (his Treasury Department just changed disclosure rules for some political groups in a way that will allow more rich donors to contribute anonymously to organizations that lobby for favored candidates and causes). Just what America needs: more opportunities for powerful people, including foreigners, to secretly manipulate U.S. elections, he's shown no inclination to do anything to stop the tampering--of course now it's over because he told Putin to stop, he hired the very people for his cabinet who would dismantle that agency, not just adjust it smartly. He's tolerated crooks when they support him. He lies even more than in the beginning (yes all politicians lie--he's taken it to new levels, to the point that when he says something, I know it's the opposite), he bungled the immigration, and as is his style, he breaks something so he can claim credit for fixing it. He's defended Nazis, and abdicated world leadership and courted dictators, and he made a spectacle of himself at NATO--yet his supporters praised him for "telling them like it is" even though that didn't work. And no, the trade war is not going to come out well for the country as a whole in the long term. Nor is the huge increase in the deficit. He has not shown any of the business acumen people thought he had. I don't think he's an evil person--I think he's naive, fearful and one of the most insecure people I can think of. Regardless of this all, I do pray for him daily, and I pray for myself that I can stand it for at least 2 more years.

Susan Foster - The tampering occurred on President Obama's watch and he ignored it. I am convinced that he, as well as Hillary, expected that the Russians were working on her behalf. (In fact, I think they were and that the election results surprised the Russians as well as President Obama and Hillary). Now, if you want to do something about election tampering, how about starting with voter ids. Having Russians tweet and Chinese donating to campaigns is nothing compared to illegal voting. So, you go right ahead praying for President Trump. I've prayed for every President since Truman, even the ones I disliked or disrespected. Finally, we may as well stop here. I will never convince you any more than you will convince me. The fact is that President Trump is doing everything I want him to do. The enemies of America are not going to be defeated or deterred by niceties, or leading from behind. As President Reagan said, (paraphrasing here), not one of the wars in my lifetime was caused by America being too strong. It's time to talk tough and carry a big stick. The SOBs are not just at the gates, they're inside and among us. PS: You're right about the secrets. When I was operations officer in a Strategic Communications Center, the greatest secrets of the nation passed through my hands and they soon appeared in the NY Times. No one can keep a secret. Look at the emails between Strozk and his paramour. Look at Hillsary's 30,000 emails that went missing. And don't get me started on members of Congress. Yes, they all play softball and host barbecues and are members of the Deep State

CPT Jack Durish - I feel just as strongly that he's the worst thing we've seen in my lifetime, and will be worse for the nation, so yes, we won't agree. I can agree to disagree. He's just not a leader, and talking tough like a bully in the school yard is not strength. It disappoints me when I hear smart people say "he's doing everything I want him to." Seems like really low expectations to me. But then I'm not a "party person" so I don't have to defend no matter what. We have established on this forum many times what Obama tried to do, what didn't happen, and why. And if he had, and Hillary had won, you would all be screaming about election tampering. It's over and he's not POTUS anymore. So what now is the question we should ask. Now we have one who won't even acknowledge that Russia meddles and will again, much less do anything about it. As an American citizen, that offends me so much. I certainly don't feel any safer. As far as voter IDs are concerned, we have them in my state. Don't you have them in yours? Now you've made me curious to find out what states don't have them.

One thing the left should consider is this, taking the Donald down will only elevate him to a martyr status..Trump is my president..

SSG Steven Mangus If by taking him down you mean not re-electing him or even impeaching him then those are all constitutional processes and completely appropriate. Constitutional processes you swore an oath to defend; your opinion of the results shouldn't matter to your oath.

1SG (Join to see) try again... while he did announce earlier 980 days to Obama's 710 days, he has been out talking to the people about a myriad of thing besides running for re-election while occasionally plugging for it. Just because he likes being with the people doesn't make what you say a fact nor does what the Times has led you to believe. All that is just opinion not fact as its be shown if you have ever watched the whole thing not just the snippets that the alphabet media has you in hysteria about....

No, they are official campaign events. I’m not sure if it’s for funding raising reasons or to control who attends (or both) but he is holding campaign events. That’s a simple fact, easily confirmed by his own campaign website and emails. And yes, I receive his campaign emails, just like I do for every major Presidential candidate since 2004.
