Oh nuts! That is a painful lesson. I must have missed the type of weapon and holster. He obviously had a round chambered as I would expect. I guess this is why the Army teaches how to lift correctly or squat down instead of simply bending over.

Maj Robert Thornton Did he say which Glock. I have a Glock 17 and 34. I was thinking this was an accidental discharge but there is more to this story.

Glock 43. There were a number of different scenarios mentioned, shirt tail caught in the trigger, holster breaking, etc.

"Oh nuts!" You win the internet today with that one!! Ok, have to go get some paper towels to wipe down the keyboard. It's got a keyboard protector that has a lot of ice water on it now...

LTC (Join to see) - Definitely there is more to the story. I carry a Glock 19 daily...unless I am on Ft. Knox. This guy had to really screw up the holstering or is using a defective holster. Bottom-line, the gun did what it was suppose to which is go Bang when the "bang switch" is pulled.

Interesting ideas on how this could have occurred. I have never carried appendix carry, just not comfortable.
