The President of the Croation Futbol is in jail for 7 years for bribery and other crimes associated with the sport. Their best player and midfielder has a trial coming up for the same charges due to his affiliation with the President. What could have been a great time in Croatia will have many bitter and sweet memories. It is time to clean up FIFA. In the United States we need to get rid of the Olympic Development System. Too many players can not afford to play for these teams. Our Professional teams need to take charge of their areas and start major development of players like Europe and South America. That way children of ALL age groups, social and especially economic backgrounds can participate. Take money out and have the best players actually advancing on travel and superior type teams will be the only way that soccer in the United States will get on equal par with the rest of the world. Until that happens it will be a rich or well to do sport.
