I will say from personal experience, that wearing an ESWS pin as a plebe midshipman.... I got a lot more crap than others did... fine, I could take it! This is a great program, and there are some awesome candidates out there!

Several of my classmates were prior enlisted, and many went on to great careers in the Navy and Marine Corps. A great initiative and a superb tradition.
