Free Amir Hekmati! What can we do to help a U.S. Marine veteran unjustly imprisoned in Iran?
Amir is a U.S. Marine vet. He was visiting his family in Iran 3 years ago to bury his grandmother. Iran falsely accused him of espionage and locked him away. He has repeatedly asked for assistance from the U.S. Government, but fragile nuclear negotiations may be stalling his release. He has nothing to do with the nuclear negotiations and his case should not be tied to it.
Please help us get his story out there. It worked for Tahmooressi in Mexico. Lets bring our brother in arms home from Iran.

That is a scary story, Sgt Alvin P. Liendo "Tanto". And I think it's the first I've ever heard or read about Amir Hekmati.
I see that he started a hunger strike recently:

Yes sir, that is correct. He is in dire straits. He's been there for 3 years, as you discovered from your research. I fear he is losing hope and this hunger strike may be just the excuse Iran needs to "get rid" of him. I hope the government hears our plea. I've written to my congressman. I and many of my Marine brothers and sisters are engaged on Twitter, Facebook and other social sites to get his information out there. We need to help Amir. Thank you for helping us spread the information.
