What’s the point of execution if it takes 23 years since the crime happened? Most people on here probably don’t even remember these attacks (or weren’t even born).

COL (Join to see) In Japan, death sentences are not carried out until the verdict against all accused and accomplices are final, with no pending appeals left against any of the group.

The trials against the cult members only wrapped up in January this year after the Supreme Court upheld the verdict against one member sentenced to life in prison.

I recognized that guy's face immediately, but thought he was executed long ago. Surprised to see he has been hanging around all this time.
