LTC (Join to see) Not Fond of it going by rail and dumping into a Tributary of the Missouri River in Iowa like it just did or going in a pipe over the Missouri River. Just Not that Fond of the Taste of Oil in My Water. Both Methods have Failed Miserably in the Past.

Quebec oil train blast: Amateur video of explosion in Lac-Megantic
Dramatic amateur video footage has emerged of an explosion in Canada following the derailment of an oil train in the small Quebec town of Lac-Megantic on Sat...
I'm not attacking you, chip, but other Democrats or liberals think that by stopping the oil by pipeline that it's going to stop oil from getting to Market. All it is doing is clogging up The Rail lines so the weed farmers and the oil men have to compete 4 Limited locomotives available. Oil gets backed up or wheat spoils in silos waiting to get to Market. It will eventually get there but accents like lac-megantic could have been avoided, possibly, if there had been a pipeline.

One would think that in all the years of relying on oil we could come up with a safe means to get oil from point A to point B. Unfortunately we haven't, not sure what is worse a localized rail disaster or a 1000 mile pipeline that can spring a leak anywhere. I don't like the sound of either.
