The danger will be and already is remote commanders challenging everything the unit on the ground (the company commander, 1SG and NCOs) is trying to do. It will and is becoming micromanagement 101 and could end up causing tragedy when someone with partial info, no direct skin in game starts calling the shots like a video game.

SSG Brian Laitila. Jumping isn’t only about insertion. After years of parachuting I can tell you that it hones and sharpens many combat skills. Show me a man who will meticulously follow orders, complete a complicated algorithm as part of a team effort requiring months of planning, will don equipment and upon command hurl himself out into the pitch black night air with 70 pounds of gear and prepare for a 16-22 mile an hour impact into the ground and I will show you someone who has the spine (courage), physical ability and willingness to engage an enemy anywhere and anytime.
