I honestly do not understand why Congress wouldn't just meet and fix the law in the first place. I hope the POTUS stands firm and continues to argue the point that Congress and the Senate are both refusing to come together to fix the law. Push hard on that issue via the bully pulpit and he will win the issue. If he caves or falters, we have no hope of immigration law reform in this country.

2nd rule of politics... never fix anything that you can use as a club to beat the other side.

Because politicians don't have hearts... they have a polling meter instead of a heart that tells them what to feel... sorry, cynical Political Science major here....
