It was also clearly planned ahead of time.

To me it,sounds like he was killing them because he didn't want people to know he was gay

There is definitely more to the motives behind the killing than is let on to. Of course the article says only the best things about the victim even though this was clearly a very personal crime. And finding a person to be mentally unfit but he's still able to function as his own lawyer? What incompetent/arrogant psychiatrist gave that verdict?
Although it does look like this man did in fact commit the murder, the question I ask is why?
