SASC Seeks Sweeping ‘Roles & Missions’ Report: Wither The Marines?

I'm quite sure the the United States Marine Corps, is already past the focus point of future combat roles. So leave the wheel turning since it isn't broken. As for specialized sea going vessels we're there to get them and their equipment too where ever the problem lies. Let the Army do their job which they were trained to perform, and leave the USMC alone...

As for senator John McCain, he needs to retire now not later! He served his time as a Naval aviator, and to long as a senator for the state of Arizona. Go home we dont need you or any of the other cronies who've served too many terms and accomplished (Nothing) !!!!

I believe McCain was beat in the head too much when he was a POW in Vietnam. I believe he had some sort of brain trama that affected his mood swings. They didn't call him Maverick for nothing. I believe his families money and his POW status got him into government.
I believe the Marines have a defined role supporting the Navy. However, I do not believe the marines should be in special operations unless congress increases their number equal to the army.
