One hundred years ago today, was the first day for the Battle of Belleau Wood. During this battle it is said the German fighters gave the nickname "Tuefel Hunden", and to this day we hold onto this as we call all marines Devildog. Semper Fi brothers!

We've had several Nom de Guerres over our history. Devil Dog is still one of my favorites. No matter how derogatory they were meant in the beginning, Jarhead for instance, we proudly claim them all.
