Probably used by Security the Police as a crew served weapon for the security vehicle/hmnwv that is about 50m back that protects the base if someone runs past the front gate? I saw this setup when I came late one night at Malmstron AFB Montana.

I call Bull Shit, You saw an M240B Not a MK 19 unless staging for a convoy (Doubtful) Wait, I remember speaking with soldiers who thought the HEDP rounds could be used in the M203......No, not privates, Staff NCOs. BTW, Security Police went away in 1997. It's been Security Forces for some time. Perhaps it's been a while since you've trained on capabilities of crew served small arms. If that Group Col. at Malmstrom DID allow a MK19 to be used as an overwatch weapon, pretty sure it had a can of Aluminum anti material/non explosive training rounds in it. The MG would also have been on a T&E and locked on a FPL away from the gate. Cheers Col.

Minot on the radar AGAIN! Some places just can't get what seems like a string of bad luck out of their lives. At least it isn't a MK 19 Grenade Launcher that they "misplaced!
Too soon? Asking for a friend! LMAO
