several years ago a friend and I went to a Chris Reeve Store in Utah. I dont have a Yarborough but a lot of thought went into its design, by the warriors who carry it.
I had a CDR who loved Randall's he had a couple, there was never a time when a Randle was out of hands reach.

Jefe I read where you can get a Boker remake. Boker makes one hell of a knife. Bing an old SF guy I love the Sykes Fairbain and the V42. That was the men were men. Those were not designed to open c-rats, no they were opened to kill bad guys.

Sir-I carried the Boker Applegate Fairbairn during my ETT tour and love it. I was working construction (during my short "hiatus" from active duty) and one of the job bosses was a former Infantry officer; Vietnam. When he found out I was headed overseas for that mission he asked, "Do they give you guys a good knife?" I responded, "No, I don't think so" (which proved to be true). He pulled out the Boker and handed it to me; "When everything's gone to hell, and you don't have another option". Fortunately, the only time I used my Boker in "anger" was against a krait (which kinda impressed the Afghans)...but it's still one of my favorite "EDC" knives, and one I hope to one day pass down to my son.

Joshua I was introduced to Boker knives when I was in Germany. One of my guys bought a very nice small field knife. It was a very nice knife to look at but at the same time it was rugged so you did not feel bad about using it. I remember we would pass it around and talk about what it would be good for.

It's probably not the best "utility" knife admittedly; I once owned an Ontario "Afghan" fixed blade that I gifted to a hunting buddy (and former Shipmate) that I'd call infinitely superior as a cutting tool...but the Applegate "feels" good for a fighting knife. I also like the fact that it's "small" enough to be carried discreetly, and the polymer positive retention sheath is pretty "form to function" too...as opposed to the originally provided nylon one.
