Just make sure the same people who approved the ACU, in July, 2004 are no longer working in R&D nor in the approval process. We wasted billions and lost many lives due to their oversight.

I remember that I was at Fort Knox taking my Captain's career course when I saw the Army times issue that said that this would be the new uniform. I actually missed the battle dress uniform and the new ocp is okay except that it's so damn expensive and they purposely are making you replace the boots which are $130 on up. We have a transition. For one more year to use the boots, belts and t-shirts but I think it's part of the Madison Avenue planned obsolescence was you're going to force us to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to be following the rules. Only the enlisted get to get it for free. The $200 allowance which is given to officers upon mobilization is based on the old battle dress uniform that used to last a heck of a lot longer than the newer uniforms.
