McCain doesn't want Trump at funeral, friends tell White House

I regret voting for McCain when he was seeking the Republican nomination. Woulda, coulda, shoulda ... just as he "wishes" he hadn't chosen Palin as his running mate ... I wish I hadn't chosen him to run on the Republican ticket.

Considering what he's facing, I don't see him as petty and pathetic. He's just making his last wishes known before they shovel dirt on him. I know many Vets don't like him, because I've read some of the comments about his contribution to the Forrestal fire, and his preferential treatment in captivity. That's their call, but IMO anyone that is dying deserves a level of respect, unless they were a totally bad person for all their days.

I wouldn't say that is petty or pathetic. They didn't agree with each other, and he is perfectly within his rights to request that specific people not attend.
