PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Yeah...so the NYT wants public discussion and debate prior to the US launching missions. Hmmm, sounds like we should start letting the msm manage our military and national defense strategy. Consider the source and move on. The threat in Yemen is real, and exportable to isis and our homeland. Go get em U.S. Army!

I am not sure this is “America’s secret war”, it is a war where allies come together against non-state belligerents who’s aim is to kill, steal and destroy and it’s not secret. The belligerents were told that we were coming, they choose to set the scenario. States are formed to safeguard their lands and empower their people to succeed. States have different ways they go about their responsibilities, not always as civilized as we would like. The non-state belligerents do not have the sanctity of a legitimate government and have proven their goals do not comply with the requirements of sanctified governments. secret wars? Hardly; the by-line is merely sensationalizing the actions governments stated intent following terrorist attacks around the world
