I talked my CATM guys and they say within 2 years we should see them. Maybe earlier for SF and AFSOC folks. I am not holding my breath. But it would cool to start my military career with the M1911 and end it with the M18.

Started mine with the good old M1911, ended with the M9, really wasn't too bad of a little peashooter.

Wow, now you are really telling your age. I was issued the Model 10 S&W M&P 38 when I stated in the Air Force!

So can this pistol shoot down a jet or something? Maybe the illustration would be unbelievable if they showed an Air Force guy with a gun?

Yeah, I remember in the Air Force in Germany, the only weapons we had were Army hand me downs. My M-16 was an original chrome bolt version. Not even an A-1 model. The M-9's we had couldn't shoot any better than a 5" MOA, which was in Military Standards for the firearm. I am sure the Air Force Comm guys will get the old M-9 hand me downs until there are M-18 hand me downs.

Sounds like it might be fairly well received.
