Maybe lower? Love the maybe. But illegal immigration does increase crime hence the word illegal.

CW5 Jack Cardwell - Sometimes laws are immoral and need changed. Do you think during segregation it was wrong for blacks to have sit ins in white sections? For Rosa Parks to sit in the front of the bus or the teenage girl who did it before her? What about women who fought to get the right to vote? Any other minorities who fought against what were unjust laws to change them?

"Illegal" can mean many things. It is not simply poor migrants who cross borders. There are some foreigners who visit the U.S. on a tourist visa, but lie and instead perform work. One famous model from Slovenia comes to mind...
