Not sure yet where I stand on this. I'm all for autonomous cars, but what happens when an autonomous super tanker has mechanical problems in the middle of the ocean? It could potentially take people days to get there, and by then foundering is highly likely.

I curious what security measures are in place to keep terrorist from taking over the vessel.

Let's see... Exxon Valdez... El Faro... and that lady on a bike that was killed by an autonomous car... I think it will eventually work well, and you have to start somewhere, but it will be a little nerve-wracking for awhile!
