LCDR (Join to see)
CPT (Join to see) - from what I remember reading, I think from a history trivia book, the two guys who got there first (each claiming they got there first) said he said Kaputt or Allen’s Kaput, before coughing blood and dying. Course, there’s enough controversy surrounding his death both could be made up. I think it was a Gunner George Ridgway and a Sergeant...Smout, I think. Australians. My WWI history isn’t as good as other parts of history. :(

I have read many a last words before one's death. It is captivating to be sure.

I imagine it’s a moment of true clarity. I’ve heard everything comes into perspective

CPT (Join to see) - I have been on death's door several times, and I clearly was in the present moment sharply aware.
