CPT (Join to see) - from what I remember reading, I think from a history trivia book, the two guys who got there first (each claiming they got there first) said he said Kaputt or Allen’s Kaput, before coughing blood and dying. Course, there’s enough controversy surrounding his death both could be made up. I think it was a Gunner George Ridgway and a Sergeant...Smout, I think. Australians. My WWI history isn’t as good as other parts of history. :(
