Congress Must Work Harder to Complete Federal Budgets on Time

The 2018 budget went through Congress and signed 23 March. It was DUE before 1 OCT. Congress FAILED. This budget has a deadline. How many people can be late on deadlines at work? Recommendations are in the article for a fix! Why could not the White House Spokewoman Sarah Sanders mention every day how many days it is until 1 October deadline for getting the budget completed. EVERY DAY!!! we have 121 days... 120...119...etc

Silly you, next you would want a law like that. Will the Gov allow members to just sent an IOU for our taxes? If citizens rack up lots of debt, they can not print money and say all ok.

Congress is one of the three co-equal branches of government. The White House can do nothing but shame them. The voter can do something, but that is unlikely since it’s not important enough to fire them every two or six years. The other strategy is to get pork and non-contentious elements in the late federal omnibus budget, then come back to the well for critical items, such as infrastructure, again replete with pork. City, county and state legislatures do the same. Some day our young people will hate for what we have done to them.
