After posting an item about Andre the Giant, I began remembering another famous professional wrestler from my youth, Haystacks Calhoun. Although a foot shorter than Andre (7' 4" vs Haystacks at 6' 4"), Haystacks was one hundred pounds heavier. A joke frequently told was that Haystacks' corner men would hold him up by the straps on his bib overalls until the opponent drew near, then let him go whereupon Haystacks would fall on the poor fellow. Once, while visiting Baltimore, where I was born and raised, someone stole Haystack's suitcase from his car and the newscasters were in stitches imagining the look on the thief's face when he opened it.
