What is the actual impact of expelling a Russian spy from Canada to punish Vladimir Putin?

I can't believe I heard from the Russians a saying that there is' very little Freedom left in this world because everybody is expelling Russian diplomats'. Hello?!, we have freedom and we are standing up to tyranny and the attempted assassination by chemical weapons from a Russian regime who purposely wants to leave its Mark to send a message to other spies.

Not to worry. Russia has a large hopper brimming with spies with diplomatic credentials to replace the ones that were expelled.

IMV, not much. The Russians will reciprocate and after a bit of chaos in their embassies and consulates ... and in ours ... things will go back to normal.
