I remember trying desperately to fill out the "monthly report" on the ANA's progress. Nearly impossible to metricize some of the stuff.

LCDR (Join to see), Sir, I don’t know how those reports are done, but I would think it would help to have the correct numbers to crunch. I assume a lot of it are guesstimated by the blood trails and how many bodies were dragged off, if that happens.

SGT Bodine-Our reports focused on the ANA's total capability (or lack thereof) to be a self-sustaining force. Other direct action or intel units may have kept some sort of official tally on enemy casualties (I honestly don't know), however we were tasked with evaluating their ability to perform various tasks ranging from use of communication procedures to maintaining independent operations. When questions on this report resembled, "What percent of the ANA officers use a consistent After Action report?" or "What percent of the ANA administration has access to electronic forms?"...and you just saw an ANA officer hitting one his soldiers with a stick...it get's complicated.
