Shooting out a window at nobody is the training to make him qualified to be considered the schools go to resource against an active shooter.

I know as much as anyone else reading the article...seems he had locked himself in the classroom and wouldn't let anyone in. Maybe he had wanted to kill himself. I don't know and no one does outside of him at this point.
