Was reading some tonight taking a break from all the projects and class work. I ran across a great story of a WWII vet with a JFK assassination tie in. Every one has seen the picture- meet Navy veteran Jim Leavelle. He is 97 and witnessed Pearl Harbor and Lee Harvey Oswald's slaying. He was cuffed to him at the time- not much closer than that. Great read- and awesome Legion story.

My father-in-law was on guard duty in the Marines during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He related to me that he actually took a couple shots at a plane once it occurred to him that they were under an attack. Meanwhile, his SGT initially got after him for starting to shoot at the planes, but also soon figured out what was happening.
