Well ... it isn't the federal government's responsibility. We can argue about whether it is a state or local responsibility ... or decision. I favor "local" ... and locally, I'm in favor of selectively arming teachers ... volunteers of course, with free training.

You are right, the best place to decide this is at the District School Board level.

LTC (Join to see) my personal opinion is that a teacher should be able to carry if they have the appropriate training and licensure for a concealed carry permit in their county/state. However, if a higher entity "has" to decide, I would much prefer it be a state over the federal government.

CPT (Join to see) - No real disagreement ... though the "higher entity" in my view is the district Board of Education, not the state. I believe this for a number of reasons, the primary one being that not all school districts are created equal ... and there may be local issues and concerns that mitigate for or against "teacher carry" ...
