Apparently this military themed parade is the first-of-its-kind and no one in the history of our military has anyone ever performed one. How dare the president of the United States suggest that we should have a parade! I'm being pretty sarcastic here. Jeez, it's a parade. People are acting like the president is asking for all children under 5 years old to go to a special school so they can become the ultimate soldiers like in Star Wars of the First Order troops.

Ummmm....the parade after Desert Storm.
Also, you speak like someone that hasn't participated in the 82nd Airborne Pass and Review ceremony as well as don't understand the logistical nightmare it would be to house, feed, transport and secure the men, women and equipment for the ultimate Dog and Pony show.
Hell, use that money for training or equipment upgrades or even the newest incarnation of the ACU, MCU or BDU. It would be much more appreciated that marching for a never was.

I'm off for not having a parade as I've been involved in many parades in my career however we need to be the same across the board which means pulling service members from every public event that cost time and money not just with the government but also with the service member. I think more people have a problem with who wants a parade and not so much the parade itself.

If president Trump was a Nazi, we would have had Wolf Blitzer, the women from The View, the reporters from MSNBC all hanging from a piano wire within a week or two of President Trump winning in 2017. Look what Vladimir Putin did, he had all the opposition newspapers and TV stations shutdown or off the air within the year.

If we lived in Communist Russia, that would have already happen or better still, those people would have never come to prominence under Russian rule. Luckily, in the United States, you can't go whacking reporters and pundits that don't like what you say

That is why we have on- going Russian meddling. They (Iran, Russia, China and others )despise us. We don't put political opponents in Gulags or give them Cesium-137 poison. We don't round up families like North Korea does when a member defects. We are Americans and we are free like the EU members are.
