I never understood why some people join and then find every excuse under the sun and dance around avoiding deployment. What did you join for?

There appears to be a severe misconception about what this means to commenters. The policy doesn’t kick you out if you haven’t deployed. It kicks you out if you medically can’t deploy for over a year. Basically meaning it’a aiming to get rid of people who skate temporary profiles for years to avoid doing anything.

Deployments is a way of life during wartime and everyone must be ready and able to deploy, our military can't afford any less because of the cutbacks down to the bare minimum in numbers. What else to do our military backs against the wall?
