LTC (Join to see) The USS Wasp is no small Ampib. and has a long and wide flight deck. I am sure they will not have any problem making that landing or takeoff.

You mean that the Corp is going to be upgraded. That's new we tend to always get the leftover.
Please let me know if I get this wrong. I was lead to believe that the F-35 was going to be the standard of all with it only be able to switch between air, land, and sea.

Cpl Scott McCarroll - Good Question! As far as I know, the Marines already have the F-35, and this story is just about them doing the first at sea landing for the Marines on an Amphib ship. Maybe I am wrong? Stands to reason the Marines will be flying most of the F-35's off the Amphibs like the Wasp since you can't swing a dead cat by it's tail on an Amphib and not hit a Marine!

LMAO, when we moved from I think it was Camp Foster or Camp Hanson, up to Camp Schwab just behind a small stand of trees. After a few weeks here comes the noise that brought us out was a Harrier. So I told someone I was going to visit the John. When I got there here was this this jet. The canopy was up. I was able to get a few pics of it and a few had me standing right up next to it. The pilot decided to try and horse around. As he is getting ready to transition from hover to an aircraft, you know of course that the Harrier have a pair of kinda like training wheels anyway he was showing off before heading to Kadena AFB as he pulled up and out one of the small wheels brushed in a tree,. At that point the fueler knock me down and the 2 of us go rolling over the sides of the Bern in case of the he didn't recovery, by the time I got back.
