SN (Join to see) They keep saying that it no longer works, but it did exactly what it was intended to do. It prevented two highly populated states from deciding the entire election. If it was not in place, then states like Hawaii, Rhode Island, South Dakota, North Dakota, and others with smaller populations would not even need to have an election as they would have no part in deciding the winner. The reality is that what needs to change is the two parties. Our nation has become so diverse that having option bad and option worse (you decide which is which) no longer works. So Hillary was partially right when she said the system no longer works.

Take away California alone and Trump wins the popular vote. That is, if we want California values running the nation.

SN (Join to see) - CA and NY alone would virtually guarantee that we move to a one party system. I don't like the politics of those states. They are so far to the left that they make Liberace look conservative.
