I used to go to the gym on post every day. Every day the televisions had to be turned to FOX ""NEWS"" to placate a group of whiners. After they were gone the soldiers would turn on something normal, sports etc. This appears to be the case on many bases, in Exchanges, and other public facilities. Normally I don't care but that crap can cause Brain Damage

Why wouldn't they? We aren't a large voting block. Americans have shown that they don't really care when we get deployed or have our benefits cut. Not a single politician has lost a re-election campaign on the basis of voting to send troops to combat, sequester the budget, draw down troop levels, or screw up acquisitions. So...why wouldn't politicians shift their loyalty away from the military and towards the people who will get them re-elected?

Yes, MSgt (Join to see), I think there are a lot of politicians who have failed the military. I still think that the Republican party is most military friendly, so I'm inclined to vote for them (in general), but I would like to see the new Congress fund the military and eliminate the mandatory defense cuts that were put in place a year or two ago.
