Yes, illegal aliens are no better or worse than anyone else, which means they commit crimes as well. While immigrants usually commit less crimes than citizens, if you lump all the drug traffickers in with undocumented people trying to get work your going to get a someone higher statistic... that said, the problem there is the illegal drug trade and not people who come here, get work illegally and overstay their visa or sneak across because they don't even have the documents necessary to come here on a shopping trip.

SSG (Join to see) - Mark, you are a citizen of this country and if you are caught violating the traffic rules you may get a ticket. These are normally not major legal engagements. You did not cross a border illegally (perhaps multiple times) and you are allowed to be here as a citizen. Your comparison is apples and oranges.

Cpl Jeff N. - Crossing the border illegally is a misdemeanor... it's also worth noting that most undocumented workers do not need to cross the border illegally, they can cross legally for the stated purpose of shopping in the US and then simply stay. Those that cross illegally usually do not have any legal documents at all because they come from extremely remote regions of Mexico or indigenous regions of South and Central America.

Your first illegal entry is a misdemeanor; subsequent illegal crossings are felonies.
You can't just cross the border for shopping; you have to have a Border Crossing Card, which involves a vetting process. If it was as simple as saying they are coming to shop, they wouldn't find them sneaking across the desert or hiding in car trunks. Some people with BCCs come to the US for work. They don't work for and get paid by US companies but they can come and drive trucks or do other contract work but they are being paid by a Mexican company, the same as someone coming here on a business visa. Very few of these legal visitors get in trouble after staying longer than they were supposed to. As far as the link to the story, I have discovered there is almost always more than what is reported in these stories. That happened under President Obama, and I find it very hard to believe that guy was here for that long and was removed as the article says. I am not saying that could not have happened, especially if the Border Patrol responded as the BP & ICE have differing policies on these matters. I know for ICE, if the guy had entered in 2001 and had no criminal history, most ICE officers wouldn't even touch that at that time.

SSG William Bowen - I live about 10 miles from the border, half the people in our local shopping mall or Target are here form Mexico (more than that during the holiday season)... crossing into the US isn't hard if your not poor. I suspect that most of the undocumented workers in this area cross back and forth into Mexico legally on almost a daily basis since the cost of living is so much lower there.

Show casing the few immigrants crimes instead of their numerous accomplishments was the NAZIs way of vilifying the jews.

Perfect example of the failure of public education. The article is about illegal Aliens. But thanks for the Marxist narrative.

Many, many, accomplishments and contributions have been made by immigrants who have come here legally.
What are a few of the "numerous accomplishments" that have been made by people who have entered the country illegally?
