The GOP doesn't run anyone in Cook county, it is impossible to win, so this guy knows how to get some attention. I think we will get far fewer votes than Senator Robert Byrd, a life long democrat and klansman from West Virginia and a close Clinton family friend.

I don't think they can stop him from running as a republican. The party will not endorse or support him but if he registers that way I think he can run that way.

MSgt (Join to see) Nope. Not what I said or meant. What I was getting at is that there is a "Republican" tagged guy running for a Congressional seat in Illinois and that he will probably get more than a few thousand votes from people who simply vote based on the letter after the name. These thousands of people will have literally voted FOR a Nazi over a Democrat because that's how they've been programmed to vote - rather than to think. I'm saying that of the 60,000 Republicans who voted in 2014 in that same district, NONE of them, apparently, has the willingness to step up and be the voice of the Republican party there - and so, by default, they've let a Nazi by the Republican representative on the ballot - and will vote for him. Does voting for a Nazi MAKE a person a Nazi? Nope, it doesn't. It makes a person a LOT of things - ignorant and lazy probably - but not necessarily a Nazi.

The real question is, how many people will vote for him. And that will tell you how many Nazi supporters there are in that district.

He'll get votes from the uneducated that only vote based upon an (R) or a (D) after the name on the ballot.

MAJ (Join to see) - Well there is at least one I suppose and he is running.
Im sure there are a hand full of supporters as well who will vote for him...Im also sure, that district will remain under democrat control as it has since 1973

MAJ (Join to see) - That is proven to be false by the simple fact that he is running.

Sgt John Steinmeier 60,000+ people voted R back in 2014. It's probably safe to say that a bunch of them are still there.

Considering 60+% of the district is Democrat... it really doesn't make any difference other than some idiot's political ploy to demonize the opposition which is what this article is really about.
