The Marine Corps has always wanted to set the example. Thats what we do as leaders. However, tattoos have become more popular and acceptable among society. If the Marine Corps has the strictest policy and other branches are more lenient, they will have more to choose from in recruitment. Even if Marine Corps recruiters are making mission, are they truly finding the best candidates for the organization? I mean if we look at what the policy has done, it has pushed out some great leaders and experience already.

He's the Commandant he can do what he wants but I personally think it's ridiculous to put restrictions on tattoos Devil Dogs are known for having tattoos as much as Sailors

Warriors of all cultures have gravitated towards things such as tattoos... by eliminating those with tattoos, you are eliminating those with the warrior mindset.
