Army plans to roll out new Master Gunner Badge for qualified soldiers

Everyone that commented that it was a "Great idea" must have already completed one of the schools necessary for this badge.

Great idea

I think that is perfect. Skill badges, such as airborne and air assault, identify the soldiers within your ranks that bring something, an extra set of skills and strengths, to your unit. I believe that master gunner should be no different. These soldiers have been through a course that requires the highest level of skill and should be able to be identified without having to keep an ERB in their pocket.
