Not being a biker, I didn’t realize that the sales were falling off.

A couple of years of poor sales, Indian market share, and younger folks not wanting to be one a Geezer Glide! My son's words! LOL

To me...people ride Harleys because of the name. I ride metric and have always ridden metric. One, I am not going to pay what they want for a bike. 2.) I can't tell you the times I have been on the road with my friends that ride HD's and we have had to stop and fix this or that or go to the Nearest Harley shop and get something fixed from Carb problems to brake problems etc. Just too much of a maintenance headache for me. I have done yearly maintenance on my Kawasaki and it is 9 years old with no major maintenance other than batteries, clutch cable and tires.

Indian has been killing them lately. Harley would have to invest in upgrades and improvements, and they don't like to spend money.
