That's a good one. I well know and understand the modern usage of "condominium" but was completely unaware of its etymology. Thanks. Another of the myriad gaps in my knowledge plugged. Now, do you know the origin of "myriad"?

I just looked it up on Merriam-Webster's and Myriad comes from Greek "myrias", which in turn comes from "myrioi", meaning "countless" or "ten thousand. Today its meaning is innumerable.

Well, SSgt Donald Libby, you can learn something new every day! I always thought that condominium was a fairly contemporary word. Wrong!

Now that is marrying to seal the deal. But it is a shame that the island is going to waste because neither country wants to spend money to preserve it. It may be in their best interest to collaborate and come up with a plan to maintain the island. Outside influence may change hundreds of years of peace and understanding. Great post SSgt Donald Libby
