Alfredo Sanchez is a friend of mine. I went to DH school with him. This is not funny....

LCDR (Join to see) - I absolutely agree with your statement (both about SWOs and autocorrect)! But, unfortunately, that is the system that is there. Maybe these tragedies will provide the impetus for change...

If this is the match that lights the fire and changes the SWO culture, making us a better Navy, more capable of defending the nation and operating safely in the future, may theirs deaths be not in vain.
I thought Holly Graf was going to be the impetus; then I thought it might be Fat Albert. I just don't understand SWOs and why they won't stand up and fix their leadership and culture issues. Tailhook '91 did a lot to discredit Aviators, but it also led to the right changes.

LCDR (Join to see) - I think the difference is that there were flags caught up in Tailhook (including my GF's father)... These accidents, while tragic, don't directly affect a SWO FO's career, other than the one resigning a week before retiring.

PO1 Tony Holland Did you notice how short they are? But then again, as I understand it they are Short-timers!
