Now that is a great immigration story. He is the type of immigrant that I want coming to the US. Someone who makes the country better. Thanks for posting it.

Very cool. Reminds me of Joseph D'Costa. We deployed to Iraq together in 2006. He was Maj D'Costa at that time, and he was amazing. Taught me two-a-day workouts and ate EVERY BIT of every piece of fruit he took from chow. Including bananas and kiwis. Threw nothing away. Here's Joseph's back-story:

Ugandan National, LTC Joseph D’costa, A US Army Commander of 1st Battalion, 378th Infantry...
FORT BENNING, Georgia | As a boy growing up in Uganda, Joseph D’costa became inspired by America’s role in World War II and told his teacher he wanted to go to the U.S. Military Academy someday.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Great story of immigration and patriotism hidden neatly in a Trump bashing. No one has proven the whole "Shithole" statement. In fact it appears to be far more of a significant emotional experience to those who wish to discredit the President than 90% of Americans.
