It is taught and if it isn't taught properly at home, the kids will pick up everything they hear and see at school and on media. Example, my cousins son is 5. His mom runs a business where he spends most of his time when he is not in school. The UPS man in our area who is black drops off packages almost every day at the business. This kid knows him and they are friends. At a football game a white parent who works for UPS showed up in his uniform to support his kid. My cousin told his mom, hey look, there's Reggie. All he saw was the uniform. Didn't look at the color of his skin and didn't know any different. I believe racism is a learned behavior over time and our media certainly doesn't help the matter. Racism isn't only black and white, it is Native American, Asian, Latino etc. It can only be changed through education starting at home. IMHO.

Capt Dwayne Conyers Sad that this is Still and Issue, I am Glad thought that it is being pointed out that Although it is More Latent in it's Presentation and Manifestation, Racism is Still a Problem. Covert Racism is every bit as Wrong as Overt Racism.
