Actually the US Constitution would be complicit in the murders not the GOP. The argumentation of USA Today must be put together by junior high school newspaper writers. Gun ownership is a right we have guaranteed to us under the Constitution, they forgot that little tidbit. We have laws against felons and others from owning weapons already. We also have background checks for purchases and other laws in place. We tend to enforce those laws in the US. Not perfectly but if you are a felon and you are caught with a weapon you will be arrested and charged with a crime.

We also have laws against illegal immigration the democrats seem to want to not enforce. The don't want to stop the flow in. We don't know who these people are, what their backgrounds are, what their intentions are etc. That is why we have a legal immigration path to screen out undesirables, criminals, public charges, terrorists etc.

I wouldn't hang my hat on the crack op-ed staff at USA Today.

Any resemblance between journalistic excellence and USA Today is purely coincidental and highly improbable
